Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid preparing offer for Chelsea star this month
Chelsea may have succeeded in keeping Eden Hazard from the hands of Real Madrid, but the Blues have a fresh fight on their hands as Real Madrid and Atletico plot a move for Marcos Alonso.
The former Bolton left-back has been one of Chelsea’s standout performers since he joined them in 2016, and the Spanish duo are looking to make him part of their team.
Reports on Marca claims that the Spanish sides are preparing to offer £27 million for his signature before the end of the European transfer window. But the defender still has three years left on his current deal and the Blues are likely going to demand at least double of that fee.
Real Madrid need a new left-back after they allowed Theo Hernandez to head out on loan, and they believe that Alonso is the perfect target to become the deputy of Marcelo.
Atletico Madrid are currently thinking of selling Felipe Luis to PSG and they want Alonso to replace the Brazilian should he leave them eventually.
