Premier League teams looking re-adjust transfer deadline day as they meet this month
After voting to have the transfer window close early last season, that decision seems to have been a bad mistake by Premier League clubs and they have moved quickly to address it the next time they have the chance to.
Closing the transfer window earlier than the rest of Europe has been a disaster for the Premier League teams as other European sides took advantage of that to unsettle their players while their own window was still open, and some English teams could not complete the transfers they wanted to complete before the window was slammed shut.
However, they have been presented with a chance to correct that before the next transfer window opens. Premier League clubs are expected to meet this month to discuss among other things if they should change the date of the transfer window again, and it seems that that would be the consensus decision.
The proposal for a new date would have to be initiated by a club, and at least 14 others would have to support them for the change of date to become effective.
