Everton beat Manchester United to the signing of World Cup star for £28 million
Everton have stunned Manchester United by beating them to the signature of Yerry Mina.
The Toffees have reportedly reached an agreement over the transfer of the Colombian defender who becomes the second player to move from the Camp Nou to Goodison Park this month.
Manchester United had entered talks with Barcelona for the signature of Mina, but the move broke down over disagreements on agent fees. This situation allowed Everton to swoop on the 23 years old and he has reportedly agreed to sign a 5 years deal with them, with Everton agreeing to pay the Catalans £28.5 million.
Jose Mourinho would now wonder if he would get any new centre-back before the transfer window ends this week.
Mina scored three goals in four games for Colombia at the World Cup including the equalizer against England in the round of 16, but he played just 6 times for Barcelona last season and the arrival of Clement Lenglet would see him fall further down the pecking order.
