Barcelona set to sign Manchester United World Cup star in January
Manchester United can rest now at the prospect of not losing Paul Pogba this summer, but that could all change in the next transfer window, according to reports.
Pogba has fallen out with Jose Mourinho and also out of love for playing at Old Trafford, and he had told the club that he wanted to leave this summer.
However, it was too late into the summer’s transfer window and the Red Devils knew they couldn’t replace him so they didn’t even give the offer from Barcelona any consideration.
Barca are said to have given up hopes of signing him this summer, however, they have plans in place as well as a blueprint to follow to land the French man in the next transfer window.
According to Express Sports, the Catalans are prepared to get him to join them in the January transfer window, using the same tactic that worked for them in their pursuit of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool last winter.
They plan on making Pogba force through the move by making him a now or never, take-it-or-leave-it offer and hope that it would turn his and his agent’s head to force through an Old Trafford exit.
