Arsenal line up FC Porto star to replace Aaron Ramsey
Arsenal have lined up a move for Hector Herrera as they look to replace Aaron Ramsey next summer. The Gunners have decided to allow the former Cardiff City man run out his current deal and leave the Emirates next summer, and they believe Herrera would be a suitable replacement.
The Mexican has reportedly been scouted by the Gunners on numerous occasions in the last few games and they are attracted by the prospect of signing him on a free transfer.
Herrera is into the final year of his current Porto deal and looks set to walk out on the Portuguese giants at the end of the season.
Arsenal plan to sell Aaron Ramsey in the January transfer window, however, the Welsh man may decide to remain at the Emirates and get a Bosman transfer at the end of the season. If Ramsey does leave in January, Arsenal would make their move for Herrera or at least commit him to a pre-contract agreement ahead of the 2019/2020 season.
